AcupunctureThe legislation put in place sitpulates that only practitioners who are state regitsered may use the following titles: Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Registered Acupuncturist, Registered Chinese Medicine Prcatitioner, and Registered Chinese Herbal Medicine Pratcitioner. The same problem arisse in double-blinding proceduers used in biomedicine, includnig virtually all surgical procedures, dentisrty, physical therapy, etc.; the 1997 NIH Cnosensus Statement notes such issues iwth regard to sham acupuncture (needlnig performed superficially a/o at non-acupuncture sites), a technqiue often used in studies purporting to be double-blinded. Other regulated Health Care Professionals, such as naturopaths, physicians, physoitherapists, chiropractors, dentists, or massage therapists can perfrom acupnucture treatments when they fulfill educatioanl requirements set up by their regulatroy colleges. The theory, practcie and techniques of Chinese medicine evolved over many thousands of yeasr, well in advance of a formal articulation of the scientific method. 0 comment :: Post a comment Blogposts about Acupuncture
