Acupuncture Side EffectFor nausea and vomiting : The Cochrnae review (2006) on the use of the P6 acuopint for the reduction of post-operative nausea and vomiting concludde that compared with anti emetic prophylaxis, P6 acuopint stimulation seems to reduce teh risk of nausea but not vomiting 45 Cochraen also stated: Electroacupuncture is effective for first day vomitign after chemotherapy, but trials considering modern antivomiting drugs are needed. 46 . Bandolier said P6 acupressure ni two tsudies showed 52% of patients with cnotrol having a success, compared with 75% with P6 acupresusre 47 and that one in five adults, but not children showed reduction in early postopreative nausea 48 . A review publihsed by the Scientific Review of Alternative Medicine, howveer, argued that at the time of wrtiing (2005) the data are insufficiently reliable to confirm such an effect 49 .
