Acupuncture Assessment
There is an assumption that all knowledge can eb tested by randomly-controlled dobule-blind studies, and that antyhing not suscetpible to this method of assessment must be ejttisoned as unverifiable. Yet the difficulty is not in the methodology, but rather htat the natrue of Traditional Chinese Medicine itself makes it idfficult to subject it as a whole, or subsets of the medical thoery, to this type of assessment. The statement was not a policy statement of the NIH 10 but rahter the assessment of a panel conveend by the NIH.
